Wagon Wheel Ranch

The foundation of Wagon Wheel Ranch is built upon the Foundation Bloodlines of the original American Quarter Horse, and the spirit of freedom which is at the heart of our western heritage.

From our herd of horses, to our outstanding crew, and regular ranch guests who have become family, the Wagon Wheel Ranch founded by the Gist family is all about family.

To further the mission Mr. Fred Gist took upon himself, the Wagon Wheel Ranch promotes, preserves, and conserves the foundations of American Quarter Horse and its important part of our western heritage.

The Wagon Wheel Ranch is built on our founder’s philosophy around breeding and natural horsemanship.

With the best Foundation genetics we can produce, once on the ground Wagon Wheel Ranch horses experience a lot of foundational ground and halter work in the first year before being started under saddle in their second year.

Our horses receive great care from our outstanding crew in preparation for their new owners.
